Joel Loeper has a distinctive talent that encompasses passion for nature and wildlife with a creative talent for art.  This up and coming artist has created hundreds of interesting and fantastic representations of nature through many different media.  Primarily working in oil paints and clay sculptures, Joel has surpassed the bounds of traditonal art and stepped into his own genre.  Since 1980 Joel has been producing works influenced heavily by the distinctive and tropical Florida wildlife and nature from where he hails.

The majority of his paintings include animal subjects in their native environment such as manatees, dolphins, sharks, birds, and other coastal wildlife. However Joel’s range of inspiration goes across the world, literally. His art is also inspired by African wildlife including silverback gorillas, chimpanzees, elephants, rhinos, and hippos. Recently Joel has begun to craft his own sculptures inspired by tropical tree frogs and toads. Using glaze he is able to create very colorful and amazing patterns on his frogs.
